When it comes to designing modish and rather quirky home appliances no one does a better job than Italian company Smeg. Known for brainstorming with leading architects to create domestic appliances that usually border on the retro, Smeg’s appliances embody post war american design. Marc Newson’s FP 610 Series Pyrolitic Ovens for Smeg also plays with the past but stays rooted in the present. The oven is available in vibrant colors like yellow, green etc but those who prefer something subdued can opt for the rather staid steel, black and white. However what truly makes the oven special is it Pyrolitic technology which uses e pyrolytic decomposition (extreme heat) to oxidize dirt and it ultra chic touch sensitive buttons.
