“The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live.” – Flora Whittemore
Dear readers,
We're gathered here today to talk about a special collection of doors: the Porta Words. But what could be so special about ‘doors', you might ask. Here is the ‘what'…
These ancient moving structures have been with us since the beginning of the years. It's a must have at any home, office, building, vehicle, aircraft… and the list goes on. We can find millions of different doors with so many purposes but with designs mainly focused on security.
And although each and every single door is designed in such a way to meet the needs of a specific space, we don't get to see every day the development of modern concepts for beautification of these ‘frameworks'. I would even say not very often. No.
So this is where Laura Meroni Design steps in and changes our perception about traditional designs in ordinary objects, such as ‘doors'. Designed by Italo Lupi, the Porta Words from the amazing collection ‘Graffitti' are an example of space personalization design.
You have to agree with me that this fascinating concept, in addition to being a masterpiece, is also quite useful. If you think about it, you will never have to ask again for ‘the bathroom'. Just walk around and read the doors!
