Remodeling in Chicago is quite common for families wishing to update an urban space due to the age of many properties in town. These photos show an apartment located in the old Montgomery Ward headquarters. This property has great views of the John Hancock Center and the surrounding skyline. The apartment is an L-shape allowing for many unique spaces to be created. The owner’s wishes were to create a living space for the family and a public art gallery all in one space. As an owner of an art gallery it makes sense to make the home inviting to VIP clients that need a more intimate setting than the art gallery alone. The architects on the project were Wheeler Kearns.
