The Lectori Salutem Desk by Jeroen Verhoeven epitomizes luxury and quality craftsmanship. Unabashedly opulent, Lectori Salutem Desk is on display at the Blain|Southern gallery in London. The Lectori Salutem Desk has been inspired from the profiles of two of Jeroen's studio colleagues – his twin brother Joep Verhoeven and Judith de Graauw. Also seeking inspiration from hand-drawn sketches of 19th-century French cabinetmaker Francois Linke, the desk is makes for an unforgettable artistic statement.
Says the designer:
“Lectori Salutem thus tells the story of its own creation, allowing the viewer an insight into the physical construction of the work, as well as providing a highly personal link with its makers. Verhoeven sees this as an essential element of Demakersvan's output: ‘We are storytellers, from fantasy to factory, from statement to product'.”
