Use your front entry to show off spring’s colors:
Spring landscaping is gorgeous in your yard so why not bring it to your front entry too? Colorful planters in resin, plastic, and terra cotta materials can bring color to a drab front stair area. Check with your local nursery to see what plants are in season for your locale. Hanging ferns and climbing plants look beautiful hung from a porch and if you have limited space consider window boxes. Make sure the plants you choose compliment the color of your exterior home and don’t grow too large to impede a clear pathway to and from your home. Topiary plants trimmed in beautiful shapes make a stately front entrance and will look gorgeous all year around, not just in the spring!

Add color to your doorway:
Your front entry is always made better with the focus on your entry front door. Door colors in eye-popping red, yellow, orange, and even turquoise are a designer trend and many homeowners love the focal point it brings to their home. If you prefer a stained wood front door, opt for colors that compliment your exterior façade colors. Door hardware, address numbers, and stylish exterior lighting can complete the look at your front entry. Don’t forget your doormat when bringing fresh color to your doorway. There is nothing worse than a freshly painted new door and an old welcome doormat.

From gorgeous planted greenery and flowers, to a colorful front door – you will love how your entire front façade just got a facelift. If you have an adjoining sitting area at your front entry, don’t forget to add colorful garden furniture cushions. A relaxing spring porch can always be made better with an inviting sitting area to watch nature put on a show!
