This expanding dining table comes from Seefelder and is named Janus. In Roman mythology, Janus was a god that is often depicted with two faces. This is a fitting name for the product due to its expanding capability. Unlike many dining tables that use additional leaves, Janus can become twice the length that it is in its smaller state. When it is small there is actually an entire other section underneath the table top. With a patented mechanism it can be unlocked to reveal the additional section. Janus was created by Swiss designers Lucius Huber and Florian Steiger.
